I have never been in any real exercise routine and started boot camp in Glendale
in the beginning of summer to try and loose a little weight for my best friends wedding,
I am still going and have to say I really enjoy it I never thought I would.

Troop College Hill I started boot camp Jan 4 2010. Since then i have lost 6 pounds and one waist size. I'm starting to feel so much better. Yes it's hard at times but its worth it. I'm going to keep going I have a long way to go. And I want to thank Major and the college hill crew. They make it worth coming they are a good group of ladies. I love working out with them.

I have always exercised and considered myself to be in pretty good shape when I started personal training with Major last summer. The assessment was a bit of a shock when I realized I was not in as good of shape as I thought I was! I have made so much progress since last summer gaining strength and endurance. The single best thing for me about working with Major is that I don’t need to think about exercise, he does it for me. With a full time career and three kids, having someone else think for me is a luxury! He is always reading and looking for new ideas to expand his options. He mixes things up and changes things for every session so it doesn’t get repetitive or boring and this makes the sessions more effective as your body never really has a chance to “get used to it”. I am also very impressed by the way he personalizes every workout. He was doing personal training with my husband for several months and we would often have our individual sessions back-to-back. The workout I would do and the workout he would give my husband were always very different and tailored to our specific needs and goals.He is able to get more out of me than I can get out of myself which is all the more impressive considering that I’m the type of exerciser who only believes in high intensity. Major knows his stuff as far as the anatomy and physiology of exercise and spends a lot of time making sure you’re doing it correctly and safely, which again requires individualization. He listens when you complain but is very good at determining if you’re just whining or if that particular activity is not safe or effective for you. I would not hesitate to recommend Major to anyone regardless of fitness level, age or physical limitations. Luckily he’s younger than me so he should be around to keep training me for the rest of my life!

I was exercising regularly before signing up for the boot camp, but didn't realize how many other basic drills that were available toenhance my home workouts.I also learned that you don't need heavy weight to build muscle, but there are simple exercises utilizing body weight that can be quiteeffective. I recently had a suit made;much to my surprise, uponmeasure for the finaladjustments my waist size had reduced in a matter of three weeks. The major's class pushes you to the max and the best part of it is that you have completed your exercise by 7AM.

Thad "PART 2" I was a boot camp regular for six months and, then due to an unrelated injury requiring surgery, I was unable to attend the boot camp. I was well on my way to my goals prior to the accident and was worried that I would end up going in the wrong direction during my post-op period. Instead of doing nothing, I decided to switch to personal training sessions with the Major. Let me tell you, I thought that there was no way that you could get the benefits of an hour long boot camp ina merethirty minute training session. Boy was I wrong! The personal session is a non-stop,action-packed workout tailored to your specific needs. Due to my conditioning from boot camp along with the personal sessions, I did not require physical therapy, was able to continue on the path towards my goals, and am at least a month ahead of schedule on my recovery. I believe the training sessions with Major is a big reason why. I am now trying to convince him to develop a high intensity half an hour boot camp. All I can say is thank you Major!

I had read about Major's boot camp and seen advertisements but had dismissed them because I thought I was too overweight and out of shape to participate. I had not exercised in so long I forgot how! I recently had a knee replacement and needed to have foot surgery – all great excuses for staying as far away from boot camp as possible. Then one day I decided to check it out. I was very nervous walking into the gym but Major immediately put me at ease and put me to work. Before that day, I had trouble walking up/down the stairs to do laundry. By the end of the 1 week, I was walking 3 miles and doing exercises I NEVER thought I could do. Major provides modification for any exercise I can not do based on my physical limitations. He encourages me with laughter and pushes me to do my best. After 2 months, I feel like a different person. I like myself more, I feel muscles I forgot I had, I have made new friends and I am now actually looking forward to going to the gym! I have a long way to go to reach my goals, but I know Major will be there to help me every step of the way. Thank you, Major!

Participants come in all ages and sizes and are as varied as the exercises Major puts them through.When I started the program two months ago, it was on a trial basis, as I was worried that my age (late 60s) and medical concerns would create limitations. These concerns proved to be unfounded, as Major makes modifications that address any individual's specific condition/concern. He stresses all-around conditioning, using cardio and core training that has noticeably improved my strength and stamina (much to the delight of my cardiologist). Major sets goals that are challenging, yet attainable. He doesn't demand the impossible, but he does demand that everyone give their best effort, and he does so with a toughness tempered with good humor that will keep me coming back. BECAUSE OF BOOTCAMP, I AM STRONG! I never thought I would be able to wake up for a 5:45 AM workout, but Boot Camp Fitness is the real deal. Major’s workouts are TOUGH, you are not wasting your time with this workout because every minute is spent seriously working hard. The thing that most impressed me about Major and his company, Major Fitness, was his immediate task of asking me my goals and then assisting me with setting those goals for the boot camp session. As soon as I told him that I wanted to lose 5 pounds, or turn it into muscle, and that I also wanted to get back into the cardio type of shape that I had been in 6 years ago, we were focused and dedicated. His ability to concentrate on me while simultaneously working diligently with all others in the group was quite remarkable. Plus, he could tell throughout each exercise or running session exactly when he needed to verbally challenge me when I was partially slacking off, or when he should back off because I was at the point of exhaustion in the summer humidity and heat. He had the same keen sense of visual alertness for everybody in the group, whether they attended 3 days per week or just one day. I highly recommend

I was a night work out person and swore by it.I never thought about getting up early but I committed to the first boot camp that Major offered in Glendale. Wow what a change it made in me! Now I look forward to getting up. Even on those days the bed is still calling my name when the alarm rings, I do what Major said one day at camp- Just get here! I've noticed that excercising in the morning boosts my motivation for other healthy choices during the day. Major's yummy fitness bars help alot too. Its like a domino effect. Even on days now that I do a run or workout myself, I hear Major in my head saying, "Let's Go!" and "Finish, Finish!" Major’s Fitness Boot Camp is fabulous!! When I started 12 weeks ago, my stamina was really low. Since starting the camp, I have improved my overall endurance, lost inches and pounds, and see curves that I have not seen in quite some time. After years of unsuccessful weight loss and training with trainers from Gold’s Gym, my daughter had me try Major Fitness Boot Camp. At 69 yrs of age, I guess they thought I was too old to train. I decided to give Major’s program one year of my time to see what we could do. This is by far the best training I have ever had. Everyone was so supportive and they really helped me to focus on my personal goals and also pushed me to challenge myself.I can now say, after one year, I am better physically and stronger that ever. Boot camp is just what I have been looking for over the past year! It's a great cardio workout with pilates and Jack LaLane (I'm showing my age)! The circuit works and strengthens all areas--arms, legs, abs, derriere and inner core! Major encourages and persuades you to go for the gusto and overcome all fears (just like Jack did in the 60's for our moms)! The group is a lot of fun to work with as well! At the beginning of Boot Camp, I could barely run one lap around the track and by the time I completed one month of training with Major, I was running 10 laps with no problem. In addition, the cardio and core training helped me a great deal. I saw a tremendous improvement in my stamina and endurance. I lost some weight and began to feel really good about myself. Major is a fantastic instructor and if you do exactly what he tells you to do, you will see tremendous improvement in your physical well-being.
